How do you maintain a Pulsfog
If you are looking for a machine that helps you with treatment against insects, you will find the solution in Pulsfog. The various types are all quipped with a strong jet engine. In order to keep the best results the machine should be checked and maintained regularly. In this article we will tell you all about this maintenance.
The inspection of the spraying nozzles
The Pulsfog will spatter because of dirt in the nozzles, causing the pesticides to not be uniformly distributed across the crops. So it’s really critical to check the nozzles for filth before using them. You can tell if there is dirt on the interior of the nozzles by flashing a flash light into them. Use a steel brush to remove the dirt.
The inspection of the hoses
Hoses must be in good shape to fog safely; they cannot be hard or porous. Hoses in poor condition might leak or fully burst while in use. This not only harms the crops, but it also harms your health. For best results, always replace damaged hoses with genuine Pulsfog hoses.
Cleaning the spark plug
The machine will not start if there is dirt in the spark plug. It causes bad or no ignition. When there is dirt in the plug, combustion will be less efficient as well, resulting in a lower machine velocity. Before each use, clean the spark plug using a copper brush. A copper brush is softer than a steel brush, thus they are less likely to cause damage.
Refilling the battery acid
Refill battery acid with distilled water to prevent delay. You can only refill the battery after it is charged. If the battery is not fully charged, there is a chance that the battery will spill over, because of fluids expanding. How to refill battery acid:
- Only remove (screw) caps when you are about to refill the battery acid, do not do this in advance;
- Make sure that the battery is placed on a steady surface. Important: keep children and animals away from the battery;
- Don’t fill higher than the maximum level. This is displayed on the battery and this instruction should be followed carefully;
- After refilling the battery, let it rest for 30 minutes.
Using the correct gas
We recommend using Aspen gas to avoid polluting the Pulsfog as much as possible. Using this gas results in less carbon buildup in the Pulsfog’s motor, which keeps it cleaner. This ensures the best performance as well as a longer lifespan.
Hygienic measures
The machine is well cleansed by initiating Pulsfog at least once a week. This avoids the onset of issues. After each usage, make sure to clean the Pulsfog thoroughly with PULSFOG-REIN.
Maintenance structure
Periodic maintenance is required to ensure the machine continues to function effectively. You can avoid defects in the future by doing regular maintenance. This is something Royal Brinkman can take care of on a regular basis. Our employees inspect the machine’s operation and, if necessary, repair parts before they fail.
