Description

This water separator has a built-in centrifugal droplet separator and a sintered plastic filter. Standard with a semi-automatic condensate drain, which opens when the primary pressure drops below 1.5 bar. This drain can be blocked by closing the nut at the bottom of the reservoir (not recommended).

The semi-automatic drain is not recommended for compressed air systems where the pressure is not shut off very regularly. Because the removal of condensate from the reservoirs is poorly attended to by many users, moisture will almost certainly enter your machines or tools with damaging consequences. The alternative is a filter-water separator with float. This will automatically drain the condensation when the bowl is full, thus eliminating the risk of moisture still getting into your machine or tools. We recommend this model when the compressed air pressure is not removed from the system, for example during continuous service. There is a G1/8″ thread at the bottom of the float, so you can drain the condensation with a hose to a suitable place.

The filter elements have a 5µm filter fineness and are suitable for pneumatics applications. Replace these elements regularly for best filter performance with low pressure loss. Separate condensate drains with top-mounted connections are also available to allow automatic removal of condensate in your central compressed air system via a bag line. Please note that only oil-free condensate may be discharged into the sewer. An oil-water separator may be required at your location.
